The Chief of the Air Force encampment on Mountain Pedru visited the Paynter Home last week. Mount Pedru is the highest mountain range in Sri Lanka and our rear boundary is the starting point of this mountain. In order to mark the 69th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Air Force (2nd March), they offered to do something Special for the children of the Paynter Home. The plan was for their calypso music band to entertain the Children for about an hour and also allow the children to sing and perform any dances if they wish. The entertainment was followed by lunch prepared at the Air force camp. It took place on Sunday 1st March after children attended Sunday service and Sunday school. The function was arranged in our Recreation hall.
